We haven't figured out for sure if this is a fault of the lens or something quirky with the logic of the camera.īut all that be told, it still creates a pretty good picture. We're also discovering that even though we have constant F2.0 aperature zoom lenses that the camera will arbitraily stop down or up during somewhere along the zoom when using certain f-stops.
#AVID MEDIA COMPOSER 5 AVCHD 1080P#
Sony NEX-FS100 is able to shoot full 1080p video in a range of frame rates up to 60p, the FS100 provides the option of recording 28Mbps AVCHD footage onto SD or Memory Stick media, or it can output uncompressed 4:2:2 video (with embedded timecode) and RGB via HDMI 1. There are some expensive audio delay boxes that can be used to do this, but we have sprung for one yet. Solve importing problem of Sony NEX-FS100 MTS footages to Avid Media Composer 5.5. We have to either correct the audio afterwards by slipping it 3 frames or tell the adrenaline to delay the audio by 3 frames during capture. Then you can set the output folder by clicking Browse icon as you need. We have 3 of these cameras and often use them by feeding the video to a switcher and the audio to a mixer and then both are married and recorded to a deck or straight into our old MC Adrenaline. Click on Format and you will get a dropdown menu, then move you pointer to Avid Studio, and from the sublist, Avid DNxHD 1080p(.mov), Avid DNxHD 720p(.mov) are both the compatible format for you to edit Canon AVCHD clips in Avid Media Composer.
#AVID MEDIA COMPOSER 5 AVCHD HOW TO#
The camera records 1080p as two interlaced fields to make the progressive image.this caused some issues for us in the beginning as older versions of Adobe After Effects and Media Composer 5 didn't know how to correctly work with the footage. So you may be able to get an adapter to attach lenses you already have to the AF100, though not all the features may come through. The camera body is relatively cheap as far as pro cameras go, it is the glass that will kill you. If you've already invested a lot of money in glass for your DSLR that might be somethign to consider. We use micro 4/3 to 4/3 adapters to attach lenses. They are basically a DSLR in a video camera body with video camera features. We're working with Panasonic's AVCHD files from Panasonic's AG-AF100 cameras. What file types are you working with Erik? I'm undecided whether to update to tapeless video cameras or move to workingwith DSLR.
